Along with going to restaurants, traveling, and going into the office, wedding season looks pretty different this year. Our hearts have been with all of the couples and families whose wedding plans have been upended this year – but working in this industry has taught us that although plans may change, love does prevail.
Amy and Alex met while working in middle school classrooms, so they are used to thinking quickly and adjusting their plans. That’s just what they did when they adapted their French’s Point wedding into a thirty-five person, safe and secure day of their dreams. Amy and Alex were surrounded by their closest family and friends in peaceful Stockton Springs, Maine where they celebrated with a weekend filled with love.
On wedding day, Amy and Alex shared an intimate first look on empty, pebbly beaches captured by Katelyn Mallett before walking down the aisle to make things official. After an intimate ceremony, the 111 Maine catering team brought ‘curbside delivery’ to catering with socially distanced, sanitized stations for guests to grab signature drinks and delectable hors d’oeuvres.
Another upside of a thirty-five-person wedding is getting to celebrate the evening outside, under strings of glistening bistro lighting. Guests were able to pick up beautifully plated meals in a socially distanced manner before enjoying them as the sun set. Having a small number of guests certainly did not make for any less celebratory of a party, as guests were able to enjoy music and dancing spread out across the open-air patio area.
Congratulations to Amy and Alex – may you continue to find love and light together during life’s challenging moments!
Special thanks to the vendors who helped make this day possible. We continue to be inspired by the innovation our collective vendor teams have come up with to continue to make joyous wedding celebrations possible and safe.
